Chairman’s Update
Hi everyone!
A big thank you to to all the members who attended the AGM, your participation was very much appreciated. The new committee is now in place and I take this opportunity to welcome Caroline to the team and wish Ian and Sarah all the best in their new roles.
At last we have water in the rivers so we can now look forward to utilizing the Autumn programme, so come on and join us on the fantastic trips that we have planned. For those looking for a different thrill then you can be sure there will be kayak surfing going on somewhere in Devon, contact Lawrence for the latest update or check out our website.
The cancelled level 4 leadership training has now been re booked to take place in January 2012, fingers crossed at the third attempt it will go ahead. The level 1 coach training is also being looked into and a date will be announced soon. The committee hopes that when the candidates obtain their qualifications they will help to take the pressure off our already qualified coaches. We can then plan and instigate a more structured training programme for club members to take advantage of.
Christmas will soon be upon us so incase you missed the last announcement, the Christmas paddle and dinner has been booked for 18th December. It would be great to see everyone dressed for the paddle in Xmas attire of some sort ( there will be a prize for the most impressive guise). Don't forget to book your place for the dinner and the paddle in plenty of time.
Regards
Richard
